Guide for Washington public-sector buyers
How Washington Agencies Can Meet Supplier Diversity and Small-Business Goals with Redtech
A practical guide for state agencies, local governments, schools and colleges that want their IT staffing spend to support small and woman-owned businesses, without running a new solicitation.
Why it matters
Many Washington public organizations track how much of their spending goes to small businesses and to woman- and minority-owned businesses. IT staffing and project services are often a large line item, so choosing a qualifying vendor for this work can make real progress toward those goals.
Goals, eligible certifications and reporting rules differ between organizations. Always confirm with your own procurement or supplier diversity office which supplier types count for you.

Step by step
1. Confirm how your agency counts spend
Ask your procurement or supplier diversity office which supplier types and certifications count toward your goals, and how they want spend reported.
2. Use a DES master contract
Eligible purchasers can send a Statement of Work to Redtech under DES contract #14822 (Project Management) or #16322 (Software Development) instead of running their own solicitation.
3. Get a response in 3–5 business days
We reply with matched candidates or a delivery approach and rates, usually within 3–5 business days.
4. Issue the work order
Reference the contract number. Redtech handles onboarding, background checks and payroll.
5. Record and report the spend
Log the purchase against Redtech's small-business and woman-owned status following your agency's reporting process. We can supply our business details on request.
