Software Developer- ServiceNow

Location – Issaquah, WA (Relocation assistance available for eligible new hires located over 50 miles from the Hub location of hire and they move to within 50 miles of the hub location)
Schedule - Hybrid - 25% on site, so typically 1 day per week. May require more onsite time until settled in.
Background check - requires successful completion
On-Call - Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including 24x7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation

US Citizen or Green card holder required - no 3rd party candidates.

Compensation Ranges:  Target for this role is level 3
Level 3:  $125,000 - $160,000
Level 4: $150,000 - $180,000

Travel’s Integrated IT Management platform, ServiceNow. This role will provide analysis of problems while working toward solutions to technical issues; deploy new releases and/ or enhancements; maintain and support the platform’s operational functions; and perform system and integration testing. The Software Developer will provide platform configuration and customization assistance including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, custom scripting, and third party software integrations. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of the Service Management platform.
  • Provides daily support of the ServiceNow platform; including script development, configuration, integration, and administration.
  • Performs appropriate QA activities, such as writing unit tests and performing functional tests.
  • Determines scope; estimates work effort and duration of development activities.
  • Designs solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Creates and maintains API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services.
  • Monitors health and usage of the application.
  • Participates in design and code reviews.
  • Responds to requests and provides incident resolution.
  • Creates process documentation for the team and provides internal training to team members.
  • Generates reports and KPI analysis as needed.
  • 1-3 years’ ServiceNow experience with knowledge of IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, Configuration Data Management, Governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • 2-3 years’ experience with web technologies, including API's/CSS/XML/HTML/ReST/WebServices.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular.js, jQuery or Jelly.
  • Experience with the SDLC including Requirements Analysis, Design, Installation, Development, Testing (application code and user acceptance), and Deployment.
  • Working knowledge of source code management tools.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in business terms.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Ability to independently plan deliverables and coordinate with team-members.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to logically think through problem situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses a firm understanding of object-oriented concepts, especially as they pertain to JavaScript (ES5).
  • Understands CLIENTs IT processes and able to work closely with the business owners.
  • Understands and adheres to CLIENT’s Mission Statement and Code of Ethics.
  • Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including 24x7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation.
  • Minimum 3 years’ of development experience using languages such as JavaScript, Java or C#.
  • Experience working as a contributing member on an Agile Scrum based Delivery Team. 
  • Working knowledge of software design patterns.
  • Working knowledge of test automation frameworks, such as ServiceNow ATF, Selenium or Cucumber.
  • Experience as a ServiceNow Administrator, Developer or Implementation Specialist. Certified ServiceNow Admin (Advanced).
  • Demonstrated project work of advanced ServiceNow development using Orchestration or Discovery.
  • Exposure to ITIL concepts.
